CIRCLES & OFFERINGS

Together We Shall Be a Mighty Kindness

Everything we offer at A Mighty Kindness is an invitation to deepen your spiritual life—an opportunity to better understand who you are, who you want to be in the world, and to create more meaning in your life and in your community.

Most of our programs are offered in a circle format, where we hold space for each other, where we listen deeply to what is being said and what remains unspoken, where we leave space for spirit and don’t compete for airtime. Circles offer us the opportunity to see ourselves reflected in each other’s eyes and experiences.

Our circles are facilitated by experienced circle facilitators who are trained in JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) principles. As an organization, we are continually working towards liberation for all, and all of our facilitators and community leaders are committed to their own ongoing JEDI education, as well as to their own spiritual growth and expansion.

Our circles are best experienced live. Generally, recordings of circles will be limited and considered on a case-by-case basis. Each program or offering will indicate what level of recording will happen in order to ensure the safety and privacy of circle members. Overall, our rule of thumb is “what happens in circle stays in circle” or in the private online forum in The House of Belonging due to our double confidentiality kind-line outlined in our Inner Sanctum Circle Model and Community Kind-lines. Our recording policies will honor that commitment.

“There is no single savior being awaited. Rather, the savior is spread out among us, emerging from each of us as we bring forth the fruits from our sacred garden into our daily lives. It is we who must save us.”

—Sherry Ruth Anderson and Patricia Hopkins,
The Feminine Face of God

Types of Programs & Offerings

At a Mighty Kindness, we offer a variety of spiritually-focused circles and offerings to help you bring more meaning and purpose to your work, relationships, and life. Using myriad spiritual practices—including meditation, contemplation, writing, music, reading, discussion, and art—we connect with each other, ourselves, and the Divine for insight, expansion, and understanding of both the seen and unseen world. Learn more about our types of circles below.

Book Circles

A fresh take on a classic book club, Book Circles offer community members the opportunity to deeply explore concepts and ideas from spiritually-oriented books. Each week you will gather in circle having read sections or chapters of the book selection to offer each other reflections and insights. Facilitators will offer exercises during and between gatherings to continue connection and deepen exploration and learning.

CREATIVE CIRCLES

Creative expression is a way to connect more deeply with ourselves and with spirit. Our Creative Circles offer opportunities to use writing, art, nature, play, music, and dance. The good news? You don’t have to be a writer, artist, musician, or dancer to participate and enjoy a Creative Circle. This is creativity as a spiritual practice and an invitation to use different forms and modalities to expand our understanding of ourselves and our world, both the seen and unseen.

INNER SANCTUM CIRCLES

The inner sanctum is the most sacred part of a temple or church. In this case, our Inner Sanctum Circles offer you an opportunity to explore the most sacred part of you. Together we will explore different philosophies, rituals, rites of passage, and wisdom traditions from around the world and be given the opportunity to delve more deeply into the most sacred parts of our lives: Who am I? What do I believe? How can I bring more meaning into my life?

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

Our Immersive Experiences are live, in-person retreats and pop-up events with a spiritual bent. Whether you find yourself on a weekend-long “Writing as a Spiritual Practice” retreat in a breathtaking Vermont ski village, on a week-long exploration of the culture and faith of an unexpected city, or a music and storytelling event at a campground, you will experience the wonders of the natural and spiritual world through fresh eyes and an open heart.

Current Programs & Offerings

At A Mighty Kindness, we believe in the collective care of all our circle and community members. We want our offerings to be as accessible as possible and try to price them accordingly. It’s the way of belonging and a core tenet of community actualization.

In the spirit of this “collective care fellowship”, all paid programs offer 3 tiers of pricing: Collective Care Beneficiary, Collective Care Maintainer, and Collective Care Contributor. We may play all of these roles throughout our lives and wherever you find yourself in this moment is welcome.
